Originally I set this blog up as a way to market myself as a Virtual Office Assistant but so far the only clients that I have made are ones that I have met in person and had no hits at all from this blog so I am changing it’s focus to that of my writing career.
I have been writing for most of my life and have several novels completed as well as several others that are in various stages of completion.
My resolutions for this year are as follows
1) I plan to write every day even if it is just a page or two I plan on writing every day. This doe snot include posting on the various sites that I am a member of but actual writing of novels
2) I have no idea how to edit. But I am too stingy to pay someone to edit my work for me so I intend to learn how to edit this year. If I can get the editing of my novels down that leads me to my next resolution …
3) Publication. I want to see my name in print inthe worst way so I plan on setting up an account with lulu.com and getting the novel that I am writing for the “January Novel Writing Month” Contest in print and available for sale to the public.
What do I have on the go right now you ask?
1) Planning my Wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica in October
2) JaNoWriMo – This is almost at an end
This is the first writing contest I have ever entered and so far I have enjoyed every minute of it. The novel that I am working on for this contest is almost completed and I plan to have it available at lulu.com soon …
3)The Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest – This is a big one for me as the grand prize is a cash advance and a publishing contract with Penguin USA. Wish me luck!
4) Script Frenzy – This is a writing contest for script writers. I am looking forward to this one as well.
